Gas produced by decomposition of waste on landfill sites is an increasingly valuable commodity. To extract the highest possible value for the gas it is necessary to maximise the extraction rate from the gas field, whilst not drawing too hard. This can detrimentally affect the anaerobic process by drawing air in and can also potentially damage the gas engines.
